Great little story, if you can find somewhere to bolt down a table!
I think that details like that could be omitted without causing detriment to the story though, so certainly one that could be made and shows an interesting view on human behaviour and attitude.

I like this. There is a sense that Carter is in control, guiding the Warden - a suggestion, could Carter know something personal about Warden which he touches on that bubbles up Wardens breakdown to
forgiving Carter? I like the ending, the silhouette.
